Ultimate performance: Hyundai ‘N Option’ premieres at Paris Motor Show

At the recently concluded Paris Motor Show, Hyundai Motor did the world premiere ultimate performance show car: the i30 N ‘N Option’. The show car gave a first glimpse of how Hyundai’s high-performance offer could evolve and also the vision of possible future N accessories. With the new N Option to be launched in the near future, the company aims to provide a large amount of customisation features to driving enthusiasts who want to make their car more unique.

“With our N portfolio we are shaking up the competition, and bringing new performance and emotions for our customers. The development of our N vehicles is grounded in Motorsport and our engagement there is the pinnacle of N,” says Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President High Performance Vehicles & Motorsport Division at Hyundai Motor Group. “The new i30 N Line and our i30 N ‘N Option’ show car illustrate our dual approach to customisation, making N available to a wider audience.”

The i30 ‘N Option’ showcases in total 25 different high-quality exterior and interior individualisation options. The exterior parts include, for example, a carbon rear wing carrying the N emblem, a carbon hood with integrated air vents, thrilling quad mufflers and the N grille surrounded by a red character line. Another highlight in style and performance are the wheels with casted lightweight 20-inch rims fitted with high-performance semi-slick tyres. The i30 N ‘N Option’ exterior colour is a unique matt paint, specially created for the show car.

In the interior, black carbon accents reappear along the dashboard as well as around the air vents, door handles and on the steering wheel’s bottom which has been covered with high-quality Alcantara. In addition, the upper dashboard and the light weight sport bucket seats with a characteristic red longitudinal line are available in Alcantara. The ultimate performance look is completed with sport pedals, a dynamic-looking gear shift and several other interior customisation options.

Hyundai Motor Wins “Red Dot: Brand of the Year 2018”

October 18, 2018 – Hyundai Motor has triumphed again in Red Dot Awards with the honorary title “Red Dot: Brand of the Year 2018”, adding to its five previously received Communication Design accolades for 2018 for its creative and innovative design.

The Red Dot Award is one of the most highly-respected international design competitions in the world, and the “Red Dot: Brand of the Year” is awarded to the brand that has come up with innovative and creative design on a particularly high level. This year it took into consideration Hyundai’s innovative design solutions, quality of design and brand management expertise.

“It is an honor to be selected as the Red Dot: Brand of the Year 2018. We are humbled to receive such an accolade, as this award is a validation that we are on the right track and it is an impressive milestone for our brand image,” said Wonhong Cho, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company. “This should encourage us to push harder in our approach and be a stepping stone for more creative and innovative projects in the future so that our brand can truly be loved by all.”

HYUNDAI HAS THE MOST IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ AND TOP SAFETY PICK AWARDS IN THE INDUSTRY

With the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe being named a TOP SAFETY PICK+ and the 2019 Accent being named a TOP SAFETY PICK by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently in the USA, Hyundai now has the most combined TSP+ and TSP-rated vehicles in the automotive industry.

Hyundai TOP SAFETY PICK+ models include: 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe with specific headlights, 2018 Hyundai Sonata with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights; applies only to vehicles built after September 2017, 2018 Hyundai Kona with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights; applies only to vehicles built after May 2018, 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe (LWB) with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights, 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights; applies only to vehicles built after June 2017, 2018 Hyundai Elantra with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights; applies only to vehicles built after December 2017.

The 2018 Kona (built after May 2018), Elantra (built after Dec. 2017), Sonata (built after Sept. 2017), 2018 Santa Fe and the 2018 Santa Fe Sport (built after June 2017) all earned the organization’s highest rating, while the Elantra GT, Ioniq Hybrid and Tucson received a TOP SAFETY PICK rating when equipped with optional front crash protection and specific headlights.

Hyundai Motor Achieves Top 40 Best Global Brands Position for Fourth Consecutive Year

Hyundai Motor has been ranked among the highest valued brands in the world once again, according to the latest rankings published by global brand specialist Interbrand. Hyundai’s global brand value grows 3% since 2017 to a company record high of US $13.5 billion. This result successfully places the company in a top 40 Best Global Brands position for the fourth year in a row. The company is ranked the world’s 36th most valuable brand in challenging conditions of many global markets.

Hyundai Motor maintains sixth position in the global automotive rankings. This follows a period of exponential growth for the company, which has seen a four-fold increase in brand value since 2005.
